David Malukas

David Malukas joins Team Penske in 2026, taking over the No. 12 Chevrolet after previously driving for Dale Coyne Racing, Meyer Shank Racing and AJ Foyt Racing. The 22-year-old is an INDY NXT by Firestone graduate who finished second in the standings in 2021 after a record 16 podiums. His best NTT INDYCAR SERIES finishes are two second-place results at the 2022 World Wide Technology Raceway and the 2025 Indianapolis 500, and he finished 11th in the standings last season.
Malukas is a first-generation Lithuanian-American, the only son of immigrants Henry and Daiva, who own INDY NXT by Firestone championship team HMD Motorsports. He grew up in southwest Chicago, moved to Indianapolis in 2024, and relocated to Charlotte in 2026. Off the track, he enjoys gaming, memes and hi-fidelity music.
