Will Power’s foray into sports car racing will continue with a long-anticipated debut run in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
The two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion and 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner has been named by Mercedes-AMG to its driver lineup for the 64th annual race on the Daytona International Speedway road course.
Power will drive for 75 Express, the same team he joined for this year’s Indianapolis 8 Hour at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (photo, above), an endurance race held in October. The entry finished sixth in that race. Power will share the No. 75 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO with new Supercars champion Chaz Mostert and Maro Engel. Power had planned to compete in Daytona Beach in 2023, but he had to withdraw due to the illness of his wife, Liz.
Power’s new sports car adventures are part of his new season of racing. Beginning in January, he will officially join Andretti Global in preparation for the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. He will drive the No. 26 Honda piloted previously by Colton Herta.
