Fast Six: What's trending in INDYCAR
DEC 19, 2018
INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.
When in Paris …
Frenchman Simon Pagenaud is well known for his European style, so the perfectly-tied scarf around on the Team Penske driver’s beloved Jack Russell Terrier on their trip to Paris is no holiday surprise.
Everything is better with unicorn headphones
Looks like Chip Ganassi Racing driver Scott Dixon and family created onboard holiday magic on their trip to the five-time INDYCAR champion’s native country of New Zealand. We’re not sure where Tilly, the youngest Dixon daughter, got those unicorn headphones but we are sure they’re charmed. We’re also certain there’s never been a more adorable flight attendant on Air New Zealand than Tilly’s older sister Poppy.

Third time’s a (#DWTS) charm?
James Hinchcliffe, INDYCAR’s most recent “Dancing with the Stars” alum, has long been pressuring Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden to lace up his own dancing shoes. Judging from their recent social media exchange, Hinch might be getting somewhere.
If Josef goes for it, he’d be the third INDYCAR driver to compete behind two podium finishes – Helio Castroneves won Season 5 in 2007 and Hinchcliffe came in runner-up on Season 23 in 2016.
Check out Josef’s moves here:
I’ve said that for two years!!! You heard it here first, people. @josefnewgarden is putting his hat in the ring for @DancingABC. https://t.co/UFT7yTPRV0

Cheers!
We love this holiday snap of Andretti Autosport’s Marco Andretti and his pal, Jeezy, living their best lives.
Taking a pounding
To Indianapolis Colts and IndyCar Series fans, AJ Foyt Racing’s Tony Kanaan might be the NFL team’s lucky charm. After he gave the pregame celebrity war cry Sunday, pounding the team’s giant anvil with a hammer, the Colts routed the Dallas Cowboys, 23-0.
🇺🇸 Thanks @colts and fans for having me at the #Colts vs Cowboys game. Awesome experience pounding 🔨 the anvil and pumping up the crowd. Now let’s go HORSE!

Wednesday wisdom
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver James Hinchcliffe offered team-building inspiration this week, when he answered broadcaster Jackie Redmond’s question, “What did sports teach you this year?”
We’re passing it on today as a bit of Wednesday wisdom.
When faced with adversity you learn who your team is. The wrong team points fingers, makes excuses, falls apart. The right team motivates, pushes harder & comes back better. We failed to qualify for the Indy 500 & I’m proud to say my team was the latter. Made us closer & stronger https://t.co/nFdIHq9Wku
