Fast Six: What's trending in INDYCAR
DEC 13, 2018
INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.
Work calendar reminder
While ânon-racingâ people might be getting ready for the holidays, Team Penske and Andretti Autosport kick off the Fast Six with an important calendar reminder.

So, with lots of work to be done and less than 90 days to go before the season opener, here are what some of INDYCAR drivers were up to this work week.
New man on the job
At a test at Sebring International Raceway, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports newcomer Marcus Ericsson got acquainted with his new office.
Work out!
For 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series champ Scott Dixon and runner-up Alexander Rossi, it appears they havenât stopped competing off track, as they both get to work early on 2019.

2018 Indy Lights champ Patricio OâWard isnât taking his work lightly as an incoming IndyCar Series rookie with Harding Steinbrenner Racing.
Jack Harvey is also getting to work now in the hopes that a win will be in the cards for Meyer Shank Racing with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in 2019.
Last week it was neck and forearm training. This week @fitflexfly itâs hand-eye reactive coordination, and core stability. Team Penskeâs 2016 IndyCar Series champ Simon Pagenaud reminds us that sometimes the right music can serve as motivation while you work.
Bring your child to work day
Andretti Autosportâs Ryan Hunter-Reay took his 5-year-old son Ryden to the karting track. Both put in some good laps decked out with matching helmet designs.
A job well done
Last week, Team Penskeâs Will Power got to see the fruits of his labor in the form of his likeness unveiled on the Borg-Warner Trophy â the latest honor for being winner of the 2018 Indianapolis 500.

Itâs apparent if you follow Powerâs Instagram stories that he has been a lot more âzenâ since his Indy 500 win. Now it appears he is really embracing the idea of incorporating meditation into his work regimen. And he pities the fool that doesnât.
We thought @12WillPower seemed more zen since winning the Indy 500. Now we know why đ¤Ł#INDYCAR // @Team_Penske pic.twitter.com/mjPFOm4tPq

All work and no play?
You have to step away from work sometimes to make time for fun, especially if itâs for a good cause. This is how INDYCAR drivers roll; Alexander Rossi, Charlie Kimball, Jack Harvey and Patricio OâWard joined their NHRA drivers friends at Don Schumacher Racing for the annual Bowling For Riley event at Western Bowl in Indianapolis to benefit the Riley Childrenâs Foundation.
