Get to Know Will

Will Power joins Andretti Global for the 2026 season. The 44-year-old from Toowoomba, Australia will compete in his 19th NTT INDYCAR SERIES season and his first with Andretti Global, after 17 years with Team Penske.

Power holds the all-time INDYCAR SERIES record for pole positions with 71, surpassing Mario Andretti at Laguna Seca in September 2022. With 45 career wins, he ranks fourth on the all-time victory list. Last season, he finished ninth in the points standings, with a win at Portland. The two-time series champion (2014, 2022) and 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner brings a wealth of experience to Andretti Global’s young, talented lineup in 2026.

Off the track, Power and his wife Elizabeth (Liz) welcomed their son Beau in December 2016. He has three brothers, including stand-up comedian Damien Power. Will enjoys playing drums – a hobby he picked up at 15 with his first paycheck—and often shares glimpses of his skills on social media, like during the 2024 season finale in Nashville. His rigorous training regimen includes swimming, cycling, weightlifting and rowing six times per week. Power is also heavily involved in karting, mentoring young drivers, including INDY NXT by Firestone’s Myles Rowe.
