The 45-year-old New Zealander is a six-time series champion (2003, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020) and 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner. He holds the most wins of any active driver with 59 and set the all-time record for series starts in 2025. Dixon began his career in Formula Ford, Toyota Atlantic and Indy Lights before joining INDYCAR in 2001 with PacWest Racing.
Off track, he is married to Emma, a former track champion, and has three children — Poppy, Tilly and Kit. Dixon was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2024 and knighted by New Zealand in 2025.
