Pato O’Ward begins his ninth NTT INDYCAR SERIES season in 2026, returning for his sixth year with Arrow McLaren in the No. 5 Chevrolet. The 26-year-old comes off a strong 2025 campaign, highlighted by six podium finishes and race wins at Iowa and Toronto, further cementing his status among the series’ top contenders.
Born in Monterrey, Mexico and raised in San Antonio, Texas, O’Ward now resides in Indianapolis. An INDY NXT by Firestone graduate and series champion, he rose through the development ladder before establishing himself as a consistent front-runner in the INDYCAR SERIES. He also serves as a Formula 1 reserve driver for McLaren and has won the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype Challenge title, two class victories at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and a Prototype Challenge class win at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Off track, O'Ward focuses on boxing and weight training and is a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys chilaquiles and sushi. His Corgi, Norbi, often travels with him to races.
