As we prepare for our annual trip to Florida for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, we throw our Classic Rewind back 10 years to 2011, where the story of the race might have barely missed the podium.

In 2010, Dario Franchitti bested Will Power for the IZOD IndyCar Series championship in a spirited battle, winning his second consecutive championship and his third championship in four seasons. As the season kicked off the 2011 season, both drivers gave advance warning to the rest of the paddock ... the 2011 championship will goes through them again.

Perhaps the best battle on the track wasn't necessarily between the two front-runners in Power and Franchitti, but in the battle for the last step of the podium between Tony Kanaan, who moved from Andretti Autosport to KV Racing Technology in the off-season, and a young, second-year driver from Switzerland, Simona de Silvestro, who kept the pressure on the 2004 series champion the entire race. To say she redefined her nickname of "Iron Maiden" in her battle with INDYCAR's "Ironman" was something to behold.

For this week's Classic Rewind, we rewind back ten years to 2011 for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Enjoy!
