Josef Newgarden with cowboy hat

INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about NTT IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.

Prepare for a rough landing!

Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter-Reay has done time in Indy car simulators. But that expertise didn’t translate much when he and NHRA driver J.R. Todd, tried out a 747 flight simulator. Practice makes perfect, though, and Hunter-Reay did manage to successfully land the thing. We’ll forget about the engine fire.

Teaching championship etiquette

Few people were happier than Canadian driver James Hinchcliffe (and maybe Drake) when the Toronto Raptors clinched the NBA Finals last week. Apparently, though, the champs’ champagne spraying techniques could use improvement and, kindly, Hinch is offering help. Makes sense – it is, arguably, his job.

Reppin’ in rehab

Robert Wickens was showing his Toronto pride last week, too, and the Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver smartly paired a Raptors hat with an Indianapolis Motor Speedway shirt as he continued his incredible recovery from last year’s crash.

No rest for the winner

Indianapolis 500 winner Simon Pagenaud is a presenter at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas this week, but all the hockey talk didn’t stop a few NTT IndyCar Series fans fans from tracking down the Team Penske champion and getting his autograph.

Dixon double

We don’t know who created the mascot lookalike for Scott Dixon at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but we want to give that person a Miller Lite.

Dessert decisions

Team Penske’s drivers weighed in on their favorite desserts last week, but Josef Newgarden clearly can’t understand the pie people.
