2019 Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone

NTT IndyCar Series fans have the opportunity to play team owner in the INDYCAR Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone that promises to be better than ever in 2019.

The INDYCAR Fantasy Challenge is back and free to all entrants. The popular game allows players to put together their best four-driver team for each of the 17 NTT IndyCar Series races this season by adhering to a $100 salary cap. Each driver has a weighted salary based on their performance during the season and at each racetrack.

Players will compete for race-by-race and season-long prizes in the game developed by new INDYCAR partner Fantrax. This year’s fantasy challenge has added features including the ability for players to track how their team is doing in each NTT IndyCar Series race in real time.

“INDYCAR is looking to grow our sport and our fanbase,” said Ivan Cropper, senior director of marketing at INDYCAR. “By partnering with Fantrax, we want to reach fantasy sports players who have previously played other fantasy sports, have them try our league, become loyal fans and ultimately tune in or even attend races.

“We also will receive a much wider audience for our fantasy product through Fantrax, while still being able to offer private leagues, great prizes and fun for our devoted fans.”

Based in Toronto, Fantrax operates successful free fantasy leagues across the broadest set of sports and leagues. Adding the INDYCAR Fantasy Challenge to its list was an easy decision to make.

“At Fantrax, we realize that many fantasy sports players want to play more than just fantasy football, baseball, basketball and hockey,” said Lee Kleiner, founder and CEO of Fantrax. “Being able to introduce those fans to the INDYCAR Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone will give our new partners incredible exposure and help grow their fanbase. At the same time, bringing the hundreds of thousands of loyal INDYCAR fantasy players onto the Fantrax.com platform is great for us.”

The format for competing in the INDYCAR Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone is simple. Register to play at Fantasy.IndyCar.com. Players may also organize private leagues, all the while remaining eligible for the overall race and season prizes. Be sure to set your four-driver team before the start of each race and cheer them on.
