Mario Andretti

INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.

‘WHEN YOU WIN THE BIGGEST RACE IN THE WORLD, THEY ACTUALLY POUR MILK ON YOU’

Andretti Autosport driver Zach Veach took to social media in defense of young Keaton Jones, a Knoxville, Tennessee, child whose video about being attacked at school went viral this week. Bullies apparently poured milk on the boy at school, so Veach invited him to the Indianapolis 500 to see what happens to the winner of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

KEEPING IT MERRY AND BRIGHT

At home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Mario Andretti is ready for Santa, all of his reindeer and anyone else who comes along.

SPEED SANTA

While the Andrettis are preparing for Santa’s visit, Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot went looking for him (St. Nick, not Mario) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Lights at the Brickyard display. Apparently, Santa is a race fan.

WHAT OFFSEASON?

Team Penske is ushering in the holidays with a gift for drivers: more time in their Indy cars. They were hanging out at Sebring International Raceway this week for a Chevrolet test.

COUNTDOWN TO ARIE

Season 22 of “The Bachelor” premieres on Jan. 1. So, ABC introduced Arie Luyendyk Jr. – son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and INDYCAR race steward Arie Luyendyk – to the world Monday in a preview called “Countdown to Arie,” which showed INDYCAR footage from Sonoma Raceway and some sweet moments with Arie and his family. Clearly, the world is about to know more about INDYCAR racing and Arie, who is known to Bachelor Nation as “The Kissing Bandit” (for good reason). We can’t wait for Janu-Arie!

PADDOCK PUPPY

Since it’s the holiday season, we’re leaving you with some puppy love brought by Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi. His sweet, new four-legged pal, Brunner, was introduced to snow this week in Indianapolis.

Puppers first snow - he likes to party. ❄️☃️
